In 1400 Pope Boniface VIII gave
permission to sell it. During the reign of Pope Martin, it was in the possession of the Colonna family till 1432 when
Odoardo Colonna sold it to Giacomo di Alessio Cenci. In 1903, Domenico Lanza purchased the property from Prince Boncompagni.
